Protest
"Capitol message closer than we would like": The paper quotes an expert saying that the radical mixed bag seen in the Capital riots has its equivalent in Slovenia, a country that is one of the safest in the world, however a deeply polarised society and sharp rhetoric could lead even more quickly to a similar outcome. (front page, page 3)

Handball
"Record win before face-off with Russia": Slovenia kicked off the World Men's Handball Championship with an overwhelming victory against South Korea, however true challenges await - tomorrow they face Russia. (front page, page 18)

Technology
"From university to companies": Cooperation between the Ljubljana Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Kolektor company is a precious example of putting theory into practice in Slovenia. The faculty's robolab has designed a robot that will be tested at the company and may be used in Industry 4.0 projects as well. (front page, page 8)

Pivec scandal
"Inquiry wrapped up, findings still a mystery": The anti-corruption watchdog's inquiry into alleged wrongdoing on Aleksandra Pivec's semi-official, semi-private trips to the coast and Kras was completed more than a month ago. Its results are still unknown due to recent changes to the integrity and prevention of corruption act. (front page, page 3, commentary 14)

Defence
"Aircraft procurement process not even launched": The paper says that the Defence Ministry has not even picked the most appropriate procedure of procuring a transport aircraft yet, a purchase that was, according to the ministry, halted by the recent Constitutional Court's decision at its final phase. (front page, page 3)

No-confidence motion
"Erjavec's chase after Janša's post begins": The opposition, spearheaded by Karl Erjavec, is to table a motion of no confidence in the Janez Janša government today with 43 signatures expected to be delivered. The likeliest date for the vote is next Wednesday. (front page, page 2)

Covid
"What reflects on the regions?": Since a strategy of easing restrictions may be based on regional epidemiological situations, the paper looks at various trends in four regions in the north-east, adding that the interest for and trust in mass rapid testing are declining. (front page, pages 2, 3)

Taxes
"EUR 1.1 billion less tax collected last year": The Financial Administration collected EUR 7.6 billion in taxes in 2020, interim data show, a drop by EUR 1.1 billion or almost 13% on 2019. Maribor
"New tow truck will pull cars away": Marpom, the company that is in charge of towing illegally parked cars in Maribor, has leased a special vehicle for EUR 1,685 per month that will pull cars instead of carry them. (front page, page 11)
