Paper says Laschet succeeding Merkel as chancellor not a given

Ljubljana, 18 January - Commenting on Monday on Armin Laschet being elected the new leader of Germany's Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Dnevnik says that Laschet will not have an easy job in uniting the party that has been facing infighting for a while, and that it is not certain that he will be vying for the post of the chancellor.
