"Government neglecting relations with China": The Slovenian government is paying attention to the US, while distancing itself politically from another global superpower, China. (front page, 5)

Coronavirus measures
"Government to discuss easing today": The public broadcaster RTV SLovenija reported that the government will take a vote on whether to ease certain restrictive measures at 11am and inform the public about the decision at 3pm. (front page, 3)

EU principles
"Brussels expects an active Slovenia": EU Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders will speak with Slovenian MPs today about the first report on the rule of law in the EU, and he is also expected to touch on the situation in Slovenia. (front page, 2)

Biathlon
"Vikings dominate under Pokljuka spruce trees": The first event of the Biathlon World Championships at Slovenia's Pokljuka say the superpower Norway win the 4x7.5km mixed relay, with Austria surprisingly taking second place. (front page, 17)

Coronavirus measures
"Restaurants may be open - for ministers": While Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek tries to justify his meeting with locals officials in a restaurant in Ormož by saying that restaurants may be open for business meetings, his own ministry has admitted that this is not true. (front page)

Judiciary
"Constitutional judges halt SDS's private club": The Constitutional Court has annulled a segment of a parliamentary inquiry into the prosecution of Franc Kangler. With the inquiry, it was primarily the Democrats (SDS) who wanted to look for alleged political responsibility of judges in proceedings against the former Maribor mayor. (front page)

Procurement in healthcare
"(Too)expensive stents": Analysing a one-year tender for aortic stents procured by UKC Ljubljana, the paper says in purchasing this equipment alone the country's main hospital will be losing EUR 1.3 million in comparison with a German public hospital. (front page, 6-7)

"Domestic investments that were given green light for EU millions": Finance looks into the projects that have won a total of EUR 17 million in EU funds that was approved in the first weeks of the new year. (front page, 2-3)

Car sales
"Sales in the red, only electric ones are like hot buns": Overall car sales in Europe were down by a fifth last year, while sales of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids were up by 137% to almost 1.4 million vehicles. (front page, 12)
