No-confidence vote
"Epidemic hits each citizen with five thousand euros": A vote of no confidence is on the parliament's agenda today, with the opposition reproaching the government for poorly managing the coronavirus epidemic. The paper notes that last year the epidemic cost a Slovenian citizen on average EUR 5,330 in terms of GDP drop and increase in debt. (front page, 3)
Ski jumping
"Fourth podium already for Lanišek this season": Slovenia's Anže Lanišek was second on Sunday in the Ski Jumping World Cup event in Zakopane, Poland, for what was his first top-3 finish this season. (front page, 3)

No-confidence vote
"Erjavec going after Janša today, SMC will decide": It will be known around midnight whether the opposition has managed to overthrow the government of Janez Janša. They put hope in the MPs of the Modern Centre Party (SMC) realising that in case that the alternative fails, the prime minister's attacks on them will become merciless. (front page, 4)
Public opinion
"KUL coalition would get 57 seats in National Assembly": The latest Vox Populi poll sees the parties of the informal Constitutional Arch Coalition (KUL) getting more than two-thirds of support of decided respondents, which would give them a combined 57 seats in the 90-member parliament. Coronavirus crisis
"Bottom line of closure": The paper looks at the cost of lockdown for companies and entrepreneurs, as well as how they are managing the crisis and when they are expected to recover from the crisis. (front page, 2-3)
Banking
"Worst year in the last decade behind European banks. How Slovenian ones are doing?": Profits made by European banks in 2020 were the lowest in the last ten years, but a number of banks nevertheless announce they will pay out dividends. (front page, 4)
VEČER
Spade of the Year
Večer runs an article featuring Šmarje Pri Jelšah parish priest Tadej Linasi, one of the nominees for the newspaper's Spade of the Year award for the statement that has best captured the zeitgeist of last year. He says he misses a normality in which people would be religious or non-religious and would not be divided into "us" and "them" for that. (front page, 4)
Fatal accidents
"Avalanches do not pick victims": Avalanches under Mt Storžič (2,132 m) killed three experienced climbers on Saturday. According to experts, the unstable conditions in the mountains due to low temperatures and wind will persist. (front page, 13)
Football
"Maribor squanders first place": Maribor, who led the standings after the first half of the premier league season, are yet to score their first win in the second half of the season. Olimpija Ljubljana has meanwhile beaten Mura to jump at the top of the standings. (front page, 20-21)
