Covid-19 vaccination
"AstraZeneca increases vaccination confusion further": Slovenia has joined the countries that have suspended vaccination with the AstraZeneca jab as WHO and EMA experts are due to discuss the vaccine's safety. (front page, page 3)

Tourism strategy
"Minister Počivalšek looking for author of new tourism strategy": The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology has published a call for applications to draw up a new tourism strategy for EUR 80,000. (front page, page 4)

Traffic safety
"Cut-outs to help increase traffic safety": The Traffic Safety Agency has presented the police with 16 cardboard cut-outs of police officers holding radar guns to induce drivers to slow down. (front page)

Covid-19 vaccination
"Enthusiastically in some places, snail-speed elsewhere": The population's access to vaccines against Covid-19 has largely depended on the initiative of their GP's community health centre. However, it appears the less eager directors of health centres have nothing to be afraid of. (front page, page 3)

Cultural heritage
"Bežigrad sports part would jeopardise Plečnik heritage": After the Culture Ministry last year annulled a positive decision to allow the renovation of the Plečnik-designed stadium in Ljubljana's Bežigrad borough, the Cultural Heritage Institute has issued a new opinion, which is negative this time. "European consumer buys more locally, has deferred large purchases": The latest EU survey shows the Covid crisis has impacted on the conduct of consumers across the EU. "Less money for Red Cross": Maribor Red Cross will get only two thirds of last year's funding from the Maribor city this year despite the Covid crisis and the city's budget being record high. (front page, page 11)

Covid-19 vaccination
"AstraZeneca put on hold": Slovenia has suspended inoculation with the AstraZeneca vaccine in what Health Minister Janez Poklukar says is a precautionary measure. Synthetic biology professor Roman Jerala says such measures raise doubts. (front page, page 5)

Crime
"Next day new murder": Hardly has the news sunk in of Sunday's crime in Zalog pri Šempeter where a 36-year-old stabbed his mother to death and seriously injured his father, before a new murder was reported to the Celje crime investigators yesterday as a 61-year-old shot his 57-year-old life companion.
