Slovenia open World Cup qualifiers with win over Croatia
Ljubljana, 25 March - The Slovenian men's football team opened the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in a stellar fashion by defeating in Ljubljana on Wednesday evening world champion runners-up Croatia 1:0. Sandi Lovrić scored early for Slovenia, who managed to keep the lead all the way until the final whistle.
