Lockdown easing
"First day of school, for third time this school year": After an 11-day lockdown, around 190,000 children are returning to primary schools, but secondary schools will not reopen for all the 72,000 pupils. Most university lectures will continue remotely. (front page)
Care homes
"Higher care home fees": With an adjustment of prices in March, 70 care homes raised their fees, while two-fifths of the homes did not opt for an increase. (front page, page 9)
Party ratings
"Negative for 57%": If elections were held tomorrow, the ruling Democratic Party (SDS) would win 15.6%, or 0.8 percentage points less than projected in March, followed by the opposition Social Democrats (SD), at 12.4%, two points more than a month ago, the Barometer poll shows. 57% disapprove of the government's job. Iran nuclear incident
"Nuclear accident in Iran": Yesterday morning Iran reported an accident at the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, but in the afternoon the Iranian nuclear agency said the incident was the result of a terrorist act. At the same time, the Israeli press reported Israel having carried out a cyber attack on an Iranian uranium enrichment facility. (front page)

Vaccination
"The flimsy disinformation of coordinator Kacin": Jelko Kacin, the government's vaccination coordinator, has come up with a new scapegoat for the shambolic registration of applications for vaccination against Covid-19. He pointed his finger at Information Commissioner Mojca Prelesnik, who is upset by Kacin's misleading. (front page, page 2)
Railway upgrade contract
"More than EUR 55 million to renovate railway to Brezovica": The Infrastructure Agency has received just one bid for the modernisation of the two-track railway between Ljubljana and Brezovica. A consortium of local companies has offered to upgrade it for EUR 55.9 million. (front page, page 6)

"9 proposals for long-term improvement in business environment": Finance has drawn up a list of proposals to make it easier to do business in Slovenia, create conditions to generate value added, and make the country more appealing to investors who are not looking only for cheap labour. "EUR 36 million available for hospitality and tourism": The SPIRIT agency has published a second call for companies and entrepreneurs in the hospitality and tourism industry to apply for subsidies for operating costs, for the first wave of Covid-19; EUR 36.2 million is available. Stock market
"How much dividends will be paid out by NLB, Krka and Cinkarna Celje": The chemical company Cinkarna Celje has announced a dividend of EUR 11 per share, the management of pharma company Krka is proposing EUR 5 gross or 17.6% more than a year ago, and the supervisory and management boards of NLB bank are proposing paying out EUR 24.8 million in two instalments. Maribor protests
"Unmasked against measures": Some 500 people protested against government coronavirus measures in Maribor on Saturday, defying police orders to disperse. (front page, page 4)
