Social cap
"Social cap mainly for managers and doctors": The planned social cap on contributions for salaries exceeding EUR 6,000 gross will in the real sector only be useful for executives and not so much for development engineers, as the government argued. In the pubic sector it will only help doctors. (front page, 7, 8)

"DeSUS again tipping the scales": The college of deputy group leaders will try to sort out the relations between the coalition and opposition for the third time today. The problem is the 15 spots in parliamentary bodies that still belong to the coalition although four MPs quit the SMC and DeSUS. (front page, 2)

"It is about STAying on and STAying strong": The Slovenian Journalists' Association officially launched a campaign yesterday on World Press Freedom Day in a bid to secure funding for the Slovenian Press Agency (STA), which has not received budget funds for the performance of public service for four months. Vaccination
"First dosage not enough for Croatians": Misinformation started to spread in the public, also thanks to Health Minister Janez Poklukar, that it is possible to travel to Croatia after receiving only one shot of a Covid-19 vaccine, which is not true. Croatia has only slightly changed the rules for those who have recovered from the disease. (front page, 2)

"Fundraising as response to starving by government": Slovenia's Journalists' Association officially launched a campaign yesterday on World Press Freedom Day in a bid to secure funding for the Slovenian Press Agency (STA), which has not received budget funds for the performance of public service for four months. "Štore Steel swamped with orders": Štore Steel, one of the largest steel mills in the country, is so flooded by new orders that it is looking to hire at least 30 new employees. (front page, 5)

High school leaving exams
"There is definitely less knowledge": The matura secondary school leaving exams start today with an essay in Slovenian. This is the second year that the exams are being marked by coronavirus restrictions. (front page, 4)

Voting in parliament
"Ballots are public information": Večer editor-in-chief Matija Stepišnik demanded an insight into the secret ballots after Marjan Šarec was elected prime minister in August 2018 but the National Assembly turned down his request. Now the court nodded to Stepišnik. (front page, 2)
