Committee against fine amnesty for secondary school students

Ljubljana, 6 May - The parliamentary Justice Committee has voted against a proposal by unaffiliated MPs to grant amnesty to the secondary-school students from the area of Maribor whom the police fined during a February protest. The students demanded school reopening amid severe public assembly restrictions imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
