Government
"Invoking independence for 30 years": Ahead of Statehood Day, the government is not only waging a war with media, having issues with the rule of law, blocking the appointment of European delegated prosecutor candidates and censoring artists, but also focusing on historical topics to raise political capital and legitimatise its authority. Stock market
"Results only boosting stock market growth": The companies' releases of Q1 results show that having adjusted to Covid circumstances, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange has survived the epidemic and is ready for a return to normal. Investors have noticed that, with the SBI TOP index gaining as much as 27% this year. (front page, page 9)

Prosecutors
"Government to pick again": PM Janez Janša ordered the Secretariat-General of the Government to prepare a statement that would render the pick of two European delegated prosecutor candidates unsuccessful. The Justice Ministry would then have to publish another open call. (front page, page 2)

Police

FINANCE

Price growth

Deposit fees
"NLB charges companies not only euro currency deposit fees but also fees for foreign currency deposits": NLB is the only Slovenian bank to charge companies not only fees for euro currency deposits but also for deposits involving other currencies.
