Wolt survey shows burgers are very popular in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 28 May - The most popular hamburger among Slovenians is the cheese burger, followed by the classic hamburger and the chicken burger. That's according to a survey carried out on World Burger Day (28 May) by food delivery service Wolt, where burgers account for one in every three orders in Slovenia.

In just under two years of Wolt's presence in Slovenia, different types of burgers have been the most popular dish on their platform, accounting for 39% of orders.

According to the survey, hamburgers are most frequently ordered on Fridays and are more popular in winter, with three times as many orders as in summer.

Ljubljana has the highest number of restaurants offering hamburgers (50), followed by Maribor (26), Koper (13), Kranj (9) and Celje (5).

The Finnish delivery company Wolt was founded in 2014 and operates in 23 countries and 150 cities, delivering food from more than 300,000 restaurants with more than 60,000 delivery drivers.

In Slovenia, Wolt has been present since September 2019 and provides deliveries in Ljubljana, Maribor, Kranj, Celje and Koper, with 500 food providers to choose from.
