Tour of Slovenia
"The day when everybody was Pogačar and Roglič": The Tour of Slovenia and the Franja Marathon attracted around 4,000 cyclists and countless fans to the Slovenian roads over the weekend. Slovenia's Tadej Pogačar won the former as a warm-up for the Tour de France, where he will be defending his title. (front page, 13)

"Drama with a happy ending overshadows the show": The start of the 2021 Euro and return of fans to stadiums was overshadowed by Denmark's captain Christian Eriksen suffering a heart attack in Saturday's match with Finland. He was saved by the quick intervention of the medical team. (front page, 11-12)

Ivan Zidar dies
"Controversial construction baron bids farewell": Ivan Zidar, once one of the most influential Slovenian business executives, known mostly as the director of the former construction giant SCT, has died aged 82. (front page)

Vaccination
"What can go wrong when a pregnant woman gets ill": Doctors at the UKC Ljubljana hospital have seen several times how complicated it is if a pregnant woman contracts Covid-19. Slovenian experts, like Austrian ones, recommend vaccination, while in Germany they are much more reserved. (front page, 3)

Cycling
"A cycling weekend in Slovenia": The traditional Franja Marathon attracted around 4,000 amateur cyclists in a total of five events over the weekend, coinciding with the finale of the Tour of Slovenia, which was won by Slovenia's Tadej Pogačar. (front page, 7, 13, commentary 12)

Savings
"What to do with money if you are afraid of inflation": With higher inflation rates being announced, people have some fears about inflation starting eating away their savings. The paper looks at what to do in such situations. (front page, 2-3)

"Magnificent": There could be no better overture for the cycling summer with the Tour de France and Olympic Games as Slovenia's Tadej Počagar won the main road cycling race in his native country over the weekend in what was a dream-come-true for him. (front page, 18-19)

"We do not like to share cars": Sharing economy is expanding in Slovenia only slowly, as Slovenians are still dependent on their own cars, and are not aware of the costs related to that. (front page, 2-3)

"Indictment for triple murder": Pre-trial investigation of the horrific crime in Gerečja vas, in which a man killed his former partner and her parents last Christmas, has been finalised, with the man facing life imprisonment. (front page, 13)

Coal phaseout
"Some want it as soon, others as later as possible": People of Velenje are appalled with the draft national strategy for coal phase-out not including their key remarks. Local representatives are to hold a meeting with the relevant ministry on Wednesday. (front page, 13)
