"Beating inflation by diversifying stocks": As Slovenians have almost 24 billion euros stored in banks, the paper looks at in what investments they could find refuge from inflation. (front page, 8)

"Janez Janša's manoeuvre falls through": The attempt by the prime minister and head of the senior coalition Democrats (SDS) to secure the backing of New Slovenia (NSi), which started flirting with the centre-left bloc, by setting certain conditions for post-election alliances, has fallen through. (front page, 2)
Paralympic Games
"Slovenians in Tokyo still have something to say": Shooter Franček Gorazd Tiršek won the silver medal in the men's 10m air rifle standing competition yesterday in what is his third Paralympic silver medal in the discipline after London (2012) and Rio (2016). (front page, 16)

"Self-testing: Authorities trust school children this time": Self-testing of students of secondary schools and the last three grades of primary school is starting, but tests kits are not available in all pharmacies around the country. (front page, 2)
Car fires
"When you turn off your car, it takes it some time to 'fall asleep'": A total of 313 cars went ablaze this year, and last year the number stood at 454. As there are many assemblies through which fuel runs and a lot of electric components in a car, a fire can break out also when the vehicle is not running. (front page, 10)

"Cryptotax is coming. What will it be like?": While Ivan Simič, the head of the Financial Administration, would tax 10% of the sale value of cryptocurrencies, there is still a possibility of the relevant ministry proposing taxation of profit, and not the entire sale value. (front page, 2-3)

"They earned more on average": The average gross wage in Slovenia in the first half of the year was up by 7,4% in real terms compared to the same period last year. (front page, 5)
