Janša's appeal for review of journalist defamation case rejected in landmark ruling

Ljubljana, 15 September - The Supreme Court has turned down a request by Prime Minister Janez Janša for a judicial review of a judgement that awarded damages to a journalist over Janša's insulting tweet with the argument that "the use of Twitter grants no one an unlimited right to communicate".

RTV Slovenija journalists Eugenija Carl and Mojca Šetinc Pašek, who were both insulted by Janez Janša in a March 2016 tweet when he was the leader of opposition.
