Police union calls for independent probe as chief defends clampdown on protest

Ljubljana, 7 October - A police trade unions has called on the human rights ombudsman to open an independent inquiry into the clampdown on Tuesday's protest in Ljubljana as the police commissioner defended the action, denying allegations of political interference in the force's decisions.
