Speaker welcomes move to call election ASAP, still prefers snap election

Ljubljana, 5 November - Parliamentary Speaker Igor Zorčič has welcomed President Borut Pahor's decision to call the general election for 24 April, the earliest possible date for a scheduled election. "But, given the situation in the country, it would be better if the election was held sooner, so we're not talking about a scheduled election but a snap election," he said.
