Less waste generated, recycled in 2020 due to pandemic

Ljubljana, 16 November - As many as 1,430 kilogrammes of waste, mineral waste excluded, was generated per capita in Slovenia in 2020, a 5% drop over 2019 and the least since 2010. Recycling rate also slightly dropped, the Statistics Office (SURS) said ahead of the European Week for Waste Reduction, running between 20 and 28 November.
