Political staffing
"Government dismissing executives, does not have new ones yet": The government has destabilised many state institutions and state-owned companies through financial or staffing interventions in recent months, the last such case being the Ljubljana Drama theatre, whose director resigned for being ignored by the culture minister over planned renovation. Public finances
"Slovenia lagging behind by efficiency of public investment": Aleš Delakorda, head of analytics at the Fiscal Council, talks to Delo in an interview, describing it as rather unusual for the government to put forward a new stimulus package just after budget documents were passed in parliament and agree a pay rise in health and social care at almost the same time. Breach of coronavirus measures at schools
"Without masks and tests": The Ljubljana Waldorf School has been ordered to conduct classes remotely until 3 December after being found in breach of rules on mask wearing and testing. (front page, page 4)

"RTV for oom-pah topics": RTV Slovenija staff is indignant at the proposed annual plan for next year. The management of the public broadcaster insists on scrapping current news shows, replacing them with what external experts describe as oom-pah topics. (front page, page 2)

Tourism
"State to buy off York's stake in Sava after all": Unofficial sources indicate that a deal has been reached for the state to buy York's 43% stake in the tourism company Sava for roughly EUR 36 million. York is to get an additional EUR 6-7 million out of its claims against Sava. (front page, page 5)

New Covid package

Stožice trial
"Janković accused of abuse of office": A trial has finally started over the alleged EU funds fraud in the construction of the Stožice sports complex. The defendants, including Ljubljana Mayor, deny the charges. (front page, page 13)
