Importance of health literacy underlined at expert meeting

Ljubljana, 25 November - A national health literacy survey, presented at a health experts meeting on Thursday, found that 48% of the adult population in Slovenia has limited health literacy. "The survey is the first of its kind in our country and represents one of the steps towards a national strategy to raise health literacy," the Health Ministry said.
