Art restitution
"Looking for stolen treasures in Italy": As restitution of art to the countries of origin is taking on a new dynamic, there is no sign of progress over the fate of 97 works of art removed from Piran, Izola and Koper by Italians at the outset of WWII. (front page, 16)

Koper-Divača track
"Up to nine metres a day": Work on the construction site of the Koper-Divača rail track is proceeding apace with the Glinščica viaduct being completed as digging in some tunnels is progressing at up to nine metres a day, says Pavle Hevka, CEO of 2TDK, the company managing the project. Covid-19 vaccination
"EMA recommends Pfizer-Biontech": The European Medicines Agency yesterday approved expanding the use of the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine against Covid-19 to children aged 5-11. (front page)

"Intensive therapy breaking all records": The number of Covid-19 patients at intensive care units in Slovenia is record breaking. Such workload on staff would be unimaginable in wealthier western countries due to its harmful consequences on the healthcare sector. (front page, 2)

"Agreement on plots for NUK II": The Ljubljana city and the Education Ministry signed an agreement to pave the way for a development permit for a new wing of the National and University Library (NUK). However, such a permit would in normal countries be acquired when funding was secured. (front page, 9)

"Heating prices skyrocketing": Maribor has the highest prices of district heating in the country. Since November 2020, bills have gone up by 120.5%. (front page, 17)

Doctors' pay
