SIT 3 Billion for Regional Development in 1997

Ljubljana, 9 September - REGIONAL/DEVELOPMENT
Slovene government will allocate about 2,9 billion tolars (US$ 17.1m) for regional development via its Ministry of Economic Relations and Development in 1997. About SIT 1.3 billion (US$ 7.7m) of the total is earmarked in the budget, while SIT 1.6 billion (US$ 9.5m) will come from purchases, with the total amounting to about 0.1 percent of GDP, Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur and his aids told a news conference on Tuesday.
