Person of the year
"Courage, stubbornness and fighting for the right cause": The paper presents the ten finalists for the paper's Person of the Year award, including former STA editor-in-chief Barbara Štrukelj, UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin, and Nika Kovač, the head of NGO Institute 8 March. (front page, 4)

Energy price hikes
"Companies at risk of liquidity crunch": Electricity prices are expected to go up significantly next year, so the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) proposes a scheme of government aid for those most affected. (front page, 8)

Life imprisonment
"First one with life imprisonment sentence": Silvo Drevenšek, who has pleaded guilty to murdering his former spouse and her parents in front of his four-year-old son on Christmas Eve in 2020, has been sentenced to life in prison, the first time a Slovenian court has handed down this sentence since it was introduced in 2008. Supply disturbances in automotive industry
"How they shook the sector and when they will be over": Problems with supply deteriorated in the German automotive industry in November. Since many Slovenian exporters are connected to the Germany industry, they were also affected. (front page, 2, 3)

"Close to EUR 10m subsidy for battery factory in Koroška": The government has approved a EUR 9.8 million subsidy for a Li-ion battery plant that TAB, the Slovenian maker of starter and industrial batteries, plans to set up with Chinese partner Haidi Energy Technology. (front page, 4)

Public orders
"Deadlines for supply being extended, a few orders have also got costlier": The paper has analysed annexes to public procurement contracts to check how global price hikes, problems with supply, gap between demand and supply and consequences of the Covid crisis have affected the deals. Life imprisonment
