Stocks
"Slovenians forgot about EUR 14 million in stocks": Those who have orphan stock on the accounts of the Securities Clearing Corporation have only until the end of the year to claim their assets before they are transferred for good to the state-run KAD fund. (front page, 3)
Polls
"Newcomers could determine outcome": The latest poll by Mediana suggests new parties could shake up parliament, even as analysts warn it is too early to jump to conclusions. (front page, 3)
France's EU presidency
"Push, power and affiliation": French President Emanuel Macron has laid out his country's EU presidency priorities. He said the EU must become a sovereign global player, in terms of technology and defence as well as ecology and democracy. (front page, 6)

Long Covid in children
"What will these kids be like in ten years?": The UKC Ljubljana hospital has so far treated 52 children with multisystem inflammatory syndrome, a consequence of Covid. It remains unclear what the long-term consequences will be for these kids. (front page, 3)
Income tax reform
"Higher pay for wider budget deficit": The December session of parliament will be dominated by amendments to the income tax act that bring higher general tax allowance and hence higher net wages. The opposition is warning that the biggest beneficiaries will be those with the highest wages, and the result will be a wider budget deficit. (front page, 2)

Food prices
"Why will food be more expensive?": Prices of food are highly correlated with prices of gas, the most important input for artificial fertiliser. Current trends suggest food will be very pricey soon. (front page, 2, 3)
New construction legislation
"What does the reformed construction law bring?": The reformed construction law will simplify permitting and abolish certain anomalies of existing legislation which have made some procedures very complex. (front page, 5)
Petrol wind energy project
"Is Petrol also withdrawing from Croatian Dazlina wind farm?": Judging by the companies register, Petrol no longer has an equity stake in Dazlina, a wind farm project in Croatia. The company however says it has not abandoned the project. (front page, 8)
Ventilator purchase
"Why is Slovenj Gradec amassing ventilators; who is the supplier?": The Slovenj Gradec hospital has purchased four ventilators without an open call despite the fact that Slovenia has twice the number of ventilators hospitals need and the pandemic is in decline. The hospital insists the deal is in conformity with all rules. (front page, 6)

"Holidays followed by higher prices": Food production costs are rising rapidly, hurting domestic agrifood companies. But the price increases will not spill over into retail prices until retailers have pulled the trigger. (front page, 2, 3)
Migrations
