Parliamentary Speaker Janez Podobnik's Address on DZ Ceremonial Session

The integration of part of Primorsko region into its homeland fifty years ago can be understood as a great deed within a long-lasting process called the incorporation of Primorsko that actually started as early as in 1848, when Slovenes issued their first political programme. The integration is therefore a synthesis of and a logical conclusion to several hundred-year aspirations for a united Slovenia, Parliament Speaker Janez Podobnik said in his opening address on Friday's ceremonial session in the National Assembly marking the 50th anniversary of Primorsko region's integration into Slovenia.
