New Covid relief package
"PKP10 goes ahead despite walkout": MPs will on Monday take the final vote on the tenth Covid mitigation package, which public sector trade unions plan challenge at the Constitutional Court over the planned increase in doctors' pay. (front page, 3)
Parties gearing for election
"Fajon believes in Šoltes": Party switching is in full swing ahead of the election. The SocDems have confirmed they are in talks with Igor Šoltes, the former president of the Court of Audit and MEP whose Believe party has been relegated to history. Another former MEP, Ivo Vajgl will run for the Alenka Bratušek Party and Agriculture Minister Jože Podgoršek is in talks on joining New Slovenia (NSi). (front page, 2)

"Where and how to head for holidays". Slovenians are to fill 90% of tourism accommodation capacities in the country for Christmas and New Year holidays as many are heading to Egypt, Italy, Spain, Turkey and further afield. (front page, 2)

Covid restrictions
"Restaurants open for New Year's Eve": The government has banned outdoor New Year's Eve parties and capped mixing at private gatherings to up to three households as opening hours of hospitality establishments will not be limited but testing will be mandatory. (front page, 4)
Independence and Unity Day
"Successful, but divided": In his address to the ceremony ahead of Independence and Unity Day, Prime Minister Janez Janša listed Slovenia's achievements, in spite of which he said Slovenians were still not happy, while Speaker Igor Zorčič told the ceremony at the National Assembly divisions only benefited individuals rather than society. Bicycle sharing in Maribor
"Bicycle sharing in spring": Maribor Mayor Saša Arsenovič has signed a concession agreement with the director of the advertising company Evroplakat to set up a bicycle-sharing system in Maribor in spring. (front page, 17)
