Permanent short-time work scheme in the making
Ljubljana, 10 January - Slovenia has so far handled the Covid crisis without major labour market shocks, partly due to subsidised short-time work, which saved more than 50,000 jobs. In light of the deteriorating situation, the tourism sector is calling for such measures again. The government says it is planning a permanent scheme by the end of the year.
