Wages
"Minimum wage growing, imbalances increasingly big": As the minimum wage is being raised, jobs that require no education are now being paid the same as those for which secondary education is required. (front page, 3)
Politics
"Golob is taking over a party": According to the paper's information, a congress of the Z.dej party founded by former Environment Minister Jure Leben has been called. Delegates are to confirm the talks that have been underway for weeks and elect Robert Golob as the party president. (front page, 2)
European Men's Handball Championship
"Slovenians flop in Hungary": The Slovenian men's handball team ended their European Championship campaign in the group stage in Hungary's Debrecen on Monday, losing 32:33 to Montenegro. (front page, 18)

Slovenian-Croatian relations
"New silent agreement on Piran Bay": It seems that the Slovenian and Croatian diplomacy have been working on a solution that would enable fishing in the disputed Bay of Piran. According to some information, Slovenian fishermen would be allowed to fish all the way to Umag and Croatian all the way to Koper. (front page, 3)
Real estate
"Are we in for a new bubble burst or new reality": Eurostat data show that three-quarters of Slovenians own a home but in fact over 90% of Slovenians do. Experts think the prices will not drop significantly after the Covid crisis. (front page, 5)
Covid testing
"PCR testing: Around 1,400 people had appointment for testing in Stanežiče": People waited for over an hour to get tested at the new testing point in Stanežiče yesterday. About 800 PCR tests were performed until noon and 1,400 altogether. (front page, 8)

Car industry
"Orders better than expected, production down due to quarantines": According to Unior CEO Darko Hrastnik, orders are good but the situation is precarious due to problems in the supply chains and increasingly many quarantines. (front page, 2-3)
Mobile
"Telemach wins deal with public administration. Why will it cost more now?": It seems that the public administration will pay 145% more for mobile services and devices under the cheapest bid provided by Telemach. The other two bidders, A1 Slovenija and Telekom Slovenije, were much costlier. (front page, 4)
Taxes
"FURS sees record revenue": The Financial Administration (FURS) collected 18% more taxes and other levies than in 2020, and 9.3% more than in 2019. (front page, 5)

Spade of the Year award
"Spade of the Year": The Spade of the Year award will be handed out on Saturday, 29 January at a ceremony broadcast on RTV Slovenija. One of the statements shortlisted for the award is by philosopher Lev Kreft, who said that "today we are not in a situation where representatives of the people would need to be protected from the people, but the people would need to be protected from their representatives".
