Internet Increasingly Popular in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 18 September - INTERNET/SLOVENIA/PROJECT
Internet is rapidly finding its place in Slovenia as the number of web surfers almost doubled in 1997 to 8 percent of the population. The figures which place Slovenia among the most developed European countries were presented Thursday by Vasja Vehovar, project manager of "The Use of Internet in Slovenia" 1997 project. The project is conducted annually by Ljubljana's Faculty for Social Sciences' IT and Methodology Centre.
