"Slovenian diplomats remain in Kyiv": Tensions between Russia, the US and NATO allies have escalated due to the prospect of aggression on Ukraine. The Americans counted on talks with Russia last week, this week they are evacuating diplomatic staff from Kyiv and deploying military reinforcements. (front page, 5)

"KUL coalition not giving up on PM-designate post yet": The centre-left KUL coalition does not look like it is willing to give Robert Golob the PM-designate position in advance. The parties have invited him for talks next week. (front page, 2)
Mountain accidents
"Slippers not appropriate for mountains": There have been 41 accidents in Slovenian mountains this year in which nine people have been killed. The Mountain Rescue Service warned yesterday that the conditions in the mountains remain very dangerous. (front page, 4)

"Medical Chamber clears Poklukar": The Medical Chamber has cleared Janez Poklukar over the vaccination death of a 20-year-old woman by declaring that he did not breach ethics rules in issuing a vaccination decree that was not in line with the recommendations of medical professionals. (front page)

"Did Giposs get its hands on Šiška plots in a controversial way?": While the municipality wants to settle a decade-old lawsuit with a company which owns land in the Šiška 6 neighbourhood, local residents are against a settlement since it could entail construction of new apartment blocks on what are now greens.
