Parliamentary Speaker Janez Podobnik's explanation, to take place Monday, why he decided not to run for president at the November election might open a difficult week for Slovene politicians. It is no major event it someone decides not to do anything, yet a parliamentary speaker is an exception to the rule. The Slovene Christian Democrats may claim that the Slovene media is against a common presidential candidate of the spring parties, the Monday issue of Večer writes, adding its is impossible to be against such a candidate when the spring parties have not chosen anyone yet.
