Loans
"Record volume of housing loans before increase in interest rates": The volume of housing loans in Slovenia is record-high, as borrowers are taking advantage of low interest rates, which are expected to increase in the near future. (front page, 8)
Election
"Election in the time of pandemic": The National Electoral Commission is discussing today proposals on how to conduct the 24 April general election as the Covid-19 epidemic is not likely to be over by then. One of the options is that the last two hours of election are reserved for infected persons. (front page, 3)
Climate change
"Toli arrives in Olympic Village": A sample of the Triglav Glacier, called Toli, has arrived in the Olympic Village in Beijing, and tomorrow it will be put in a special showcase to gradually melt and symbolically show the state of glaciers worldwide.

Railway infrastructure
"They will demolish underpass and close Dunajska Road": The first step in the project to reconstruct the Ljubljana railway station will be demolition of the underpass in Dunajska Road and construction of a new, broader structure that will serve six railway tracks. (front page, 8)
Coronavirus testing
"Cost of PCR testing can be cut almost in half": A tender for an external contractor for PCR testing shows that these tests could be performed for considerable less money than Slovenian laboratories receive from the state. Savings could be measured in millions on a monthly basis. (front page, 2)

Public sector
"How wages grew and how much they will cost us": The expenditure for the public sector last year exceeded EUR 5 billion for the first time, and it would cost an additional EUR 1 billion if the government, in addition to doctors and nurse, gives in also to others in the public sector and raise wages across the board. Tourism
"Where have the promised millions become stuck": The government first promised EUR 43 million to the tourism industry companies that have been the most affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, and now it talks about some EUR 10 million, and even this sum is questionable. (front page, 2-3)
Energy prices
"Petrol eats into its own margin by reducing prices of petroleum products": Petrol, the largest retailer of petroleum products in Slovenia, is selling a litre of diesel one cent cheaper and petrol two cents cheaper than the competition these days, which is the largest difference since the liberalisation in September 2020. "He went to to police himself after murder": A tragedy took place on Tuesday in the village of Loka pri Zidanem Mostu, as a man murdered his partner, and then put his six children in a car to go to the local police station to report himself. (front page, 13)
