Timber from state-owned forest fetches record price at auction

Slovenj Gradec, 18 February - The 16th annual auction of prime timber in Slovenia brought new records. A quilted sycamore maple from state-owned forests fetched a record price of EUR 23,800 per cubic metre or EUR 47,838 for the whole log. The buyer was a wood veneer manufacturer from Italy.
