Consultation on Bicameralism in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 26 September - NATIONAL/COUNCIL/BICAMERALISM
The National Council, an advisory body of the Slovene Parliament, plays host Friday to an international consultation on bicameralism. The meeting sought to define the function of the bicameral system and the role of upper chambers. The participants agreed that upper chambers should not be doubles of the lower chambers as they would in that case loose their meaning, National Council President Ivan Kristan told a news conference after the meeting.
