Russia war
"Under pressure, Putin escalating threats": As Russia President Vladimir Putin puts nuclear deterrent forces on alert, the EU is sending weapons to Ukraine. According to some sources, Ukraine-Russia talks are about to start. (front page, pages 2-5)

Diseases
"Rare diseases not so rare": There is a relatively large number of patients with rare diseases, some 120,000 in Slovenia, so early detection is key. Slovenia is to allocate an extra EUR 2 million for additional screenings of newborns. (front page, page 6)

Ski jumping
"Slovenian anthem played twice in Austria": Slovenia's ski jumper Nika Križnar won the women's World Cup event in Hinzenbach, Austria after her compatriot Urša Bogataj was disqualified for receiving a sign from her coach to start her qualifying jump before she actually received the green light to do so. "Plans for government tunnels still alive": The government plans for two underground tunnels under Gregorčičeva Street and Erjavčeva Road have turned out to be more costlier than initially expected. The price tag of the investment has ballooned to over EUR 2 million. (front page, page 6)
