Delo: IMF Visits Slovenia

Ljubljana, 30 September - Starting a visit to Slovenia Monday, an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission is likely to establish that over the past year inflation and long-term interests have not fallen enough, while the government predicted a budgetary deficit for the first time. In light of this, the mission will probably urge Slovenia again to go about a pension system reform, not to be afraid of deindexation and to reduce salaries at least in the monopolistic sectors, the Tuesday issue of Delo writes.
