Time is Running out to Win Transport Licences

Slovene truck, bus and taxi-drivers will be required transport licences from 1 January 1998 onwards to perform their activities. With the deadline only three months away, the Chambers of Small Business and Economy and the Ministry of Transport gave a news conference Tuesday to call on transport companies to have their licences made as soon as possible. So far, only 1200 licences were applied for and about 1000 issued, although the Chamber of Small Business estimates they will be needed by about 9000 road transport companies.
