Slovenia recorded 17% increase in deaths in 2020
Ljubljana, 19 March - A total of 24,016 people died in Slovenia in 2020, 17% more than in the year before. The leading causes of death were cardiovascular diseases, cancer and infectious diseases, especially Covid-19, show data released by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).
