Slovenia confirms second case of monkeypox

Ljubljana, 25 May - Only a day after confirming its first case of monkeypox, Slovenia reported a second case of infection with the virus on Wednesday. Like the first case, the infected person had travelled to Spain, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) has announced on its website.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) says monkeypox outbreaks in non-endemic countries can be contained.
