New foreign minister takes over, pledges support for EU, Schengen enlargement

Ljubljana, 2 June - Tanja Fajon, the leader of the Social Democrats (SD), took over from her predecessor Anže Logar at the Foreign Ministry on Thursday, pledging closer ties with core EU countries and further support for EU enlargement and Schengen zone enlargement. Both Fajon and Logar highlighted the war in Ukraine as the key challenge.
