DELO

Matura exam results
"Happy day for more than 5,000 youths": Out of 5,444 final-year secondary school students who sat their matura exam for the first time this year, 5,194 or 95.4% passed; 18 scored all the points. (front page, page 3)

Government ratings
"Golob on fall in government approval rating": Commenting on the fall in the voter approval rating for his government in a poll commissioned by Delo, PM Robert Golob says lower scores for government and parliament are in part linked to the opposition's manoeuvres and blockades. He says it is too early to make a serious evaluation of government measures. (front page, page 2)

Srebrenica genocide anniversary
"Srebrenica - another name for crime": It has been 27 years since the Srebrenica genocide as 8,372 Muslims were killed by Bosnian Serbs under the command of General Ratko Mladić in a matter of days. The anniversary was also remembered in Ljubljana. (front page)

State aid for ski resorts
"Record-high financial injection for ski-lift operators": The Economy Ministry will release the results of a public call for investments in alpine resorts today, nearly a month later than planned. The amount of available grants is being raised. (front page, page 3)

Retail companies
"Mercator has become an ltd. What does it mean?": After transfer of ownership to Fortenova, Zagreb took full control of Mercator, delisting the retailer, transforming it into a limited liability company and scrapping the supervisory board. Mercator is to merge with the Croatian retail chain Konzum first in the Bosnian market and later in Serbia as well. (front page, page 5)

FINANCE

Interview with tax admin boss
"Entities on flat-rate tax should be taxed comparably to the employed": Peter Grum, acting director of the Financial Administration, talks to Finance about changes he plans, including of the system where the self-employed and sole proprietors pay flat-rate tax. (front page, pages 4, 5)

Gas supplies
"Fear of gas tap turn-off growing in Europe": Since Monday, Europe is no longer getting gas from Russia via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, a situation that is set to continue until 21 July. Officially the tap has been turned off for regular maintenance, but concerns are growing in Europe the suspension in supplies will turn into a permanent one. (front page, pages 2, 3)

Stock market
"How to invest when trends are bearish": Where to invest EUR 10,000 in savings and has the stock market reached its lowest point yet?. (front page, pages 10, 11)

Matura exam results
"We get most knowledge in classroom": The results of the spring secondary school leaving examination period show the impact of Covid-19 was better mitigated in academically-oriented schools as vocational school students fared worse. (front page, pages 2, 3)

Receiverships
"Eleven years on, receivership completed": Receivership of the Maribor builder CPM has been completed eleven years after 1,000 lost their jobs. Claims amounted to EUR 172 million. (front page, page 18)

Tour de France
