Evacuations under way as Kras wildfire rages on
Kostanjevica na Krasu, 22 July - People from three villages in the Kras region in the west were evacuated in the early afternoon on Friday, followed only a short while later by the residents of Vrtoče, a village near Nova Gorica, a relatively big town on the border with Italy. A total of 500 people have been evacuated so far today.
