Fires in Kras under control, firefighters still on stand by

Komen/Kostanjevica na Krasu, 28 July - The fires in the western region of Kras are under control but firefighters are still on stand by, as the blaze in Italy is very close to the border. Mitja Hrast, who was in command in Kostanjevica na Krasu during the night, said that several small hotspots were active during the night but the team of 47 firefighters quickly neutralised them.
