Slovenian agriculture hit by six severe droughts in 20 years

Ljubljana, 2 August - Slovenia had six droughts that affected agriculture to the point that they were declared natural disasters in the period between 2001 and 2021. The 2003 drought hit the hardest, causing over EUR 121.5 million in damage and the state helping out with just below EUR 35 million, the data from the Agriculture Ministry shows.
