Inflation
"Cheaper oil mitigates inflation pressure": Oil prices are inching back to the levels seen before the war in Ukraine, but the trend is not yet significant enough to make a difference for consumers. (front page, page 9)

Healthcare
"On brink of safe healthcare": There are severe shortages of doctors in Primorska and Gorenjska regions where even care homes are beset with a backlog of appointments and in emergency cases resort to A&E departments. (front page, page 12)

First Olympic medal
"Bled evokes the memory of 1992 Barcelona": To celebrate Slovenia's first two Olympic medals at the 1992 Barcelona Games, Bled hosted several athletes who made this dream come true 30 years ago. (front page, page 19)

Tourism
"5-star hotel instead of flats": A new five-star hotel recently opened in Ljubljana and according to the paper, teething problems are galore. Dnevnik also wonders how many more of such hotels the capital needs. (front page, page 9, commentary 12)

Health investment
"Fist fiasco of new construction wave": The Health Ministry has informed the anti-graft watchdog about alleged irregularities in the renovation of the UKC Ljubljana hospital. There are problems elsewhere as well, and long-term investment plans are not known. (front page, page 3)

Car thefts
"Stolen cars used for spare parts": In 2020, 636 motor vehicles were stolen in Slovenia, compared to 444 last year, and the downward trend seems to continue this year. In the past five years, car thieves have preferred Renaults, with Volkswagens in second place. (front page, page 10)

Real estate market
"What is cooking on real estate markets?": There are signs that real estate prices are already dropping in some countries where they spiked in recent years. (front page, pages 2, 3)

Acquisition
"Renewed sale of footwear wholesaler Mass": The planned sale of the Domžale-based footwear wholesaler Mass was suspended by the pandemic, but now that the company has returned to the pre-Covid levels of performance, it is up for sale again. (front page, page 4)
