Unionist campaigning for better paid meals for miners faces dismissal

Velenje, 19 September - Head of the Trade Union of Mining and Energy Workers (SDRES) Asmir Bećarević, who has been campaigning for decent meals for miners at the Velenje coal mine, faces dismissal due to alleged sick-leave abuse. While the trade union claims he is being targeted because of his trade unionist work, the mine's management denies this.
