No lay-offs planned at steel maker Arconi despite major output cuts

Jesenice, 30 September - The steel group SIJ, one of Slovenia's largest exporters, said on Friday that it was not planing to lay off any of its more than 1,300 employees at the Acroni subsidiary, despite having cut production by a third in September and having announced an additional 40% cut for the final quarter of the year.
