Changes to family law vetoed by upper chamber, referendum initiative filed

Ljubljana, 11 October - The National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, vetoed on Tuesday the recently passed changes to the family law that bring the legislation in line with the Constitutional Court's decision that effectively legalised gay marriage and adoptions. A group promoting the heterosexual family unit also filed for a referendum on the changes.
