Slovenia joins new European air defence initiative

Brussels, 13 October - Slovenia has joined an initiative sponsored by Germany to set up a common European air defence system. Defence Minister Marjan Šarec signed a declaration of intent to strengthen Europe's pillar of NATO's joint air and missile defence through the European Skyshield Initiative (ESI), the Defence Ministry tweeted on Thursday.
