Dugout boat dating back 1,200 years lifted from Lake Bled
Bled, 14 October - A team of divers assisted by experts lifted a dugout boat from the early medieval period from Lake Bled on Friday. The find, dating back about 1,200 years, shows that vessels were used on the lake and its island was visited as early as the first phase of Slavic settlement of the Bled area.
