Opposition SDS MP Anže Logar has established an association that will discuss challenges key to Slovenia's future and promote the culture of dialogue. "There will be no taboo topics," he said at Wednesday's founding meeting of Cooperation Platform, which has a dozen founding members.

The government approved on Wednesday the medium-term defence programme for 2023-2028, which prioritises the development of military capabilities and an increase in the number of Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF) personnel on missions abroad.

The parliamentary opposition sees the first year under the Robert Golob government as a year of missed opportunities. The focal points in foreign affairs were support for the Western Balkans and Ukraine, and the country's UN Security Council bid.
